You say my name
and somehow it is the most melodious sound
I dance to the rhythm, the lilt
that is my name on your tongue.
Whispers carry the strength of words unspoken
Wishes, dreams, longing;
important things that make love, fear and courage clash
So whisper my name.
As our eyes meet and the air burns,
whisper my name.
As we love each other’s demons,
whisper my name.
As we stare into the sunset,
thankful for the imperfect fairytale that is us,
whisper my name.
As we dive into the bliss that is love,
whisper my name.
As your lips worship my body and mine, yours
causing wondrous entropy to our minds
and filling our hearts to the point of overflow,
whisper my name.
As life deals its blows of imperfection at us,
hold me tight and while never letting go,
